Nike Riga Run is the only sport event in Latvia, which forwards all its participant fee income to charity - for the organization Ziedot.lv project "For the Little Hearts".
It is a possibility for every sporty lifestyle advocate to take part in the races and also help with his participation fee one of the children involved in the project, which health problems make runninng a big but a far dream. In the year 2010, the Nike Riga Run collected 5540 Lats, providing support for 8 kids.
In the year 2011, - 14383 Lats, helping to recovering health for 14 chldren.

Nike Riga Run guidance for the sports teachers has been compiled
Nike Riga Runhas prepared the guidance, which will serve as the auxiliary materials for the sports teachers in their everyday work with the intention to improve the pupils’ general physical preparedness, as well as to help to get prepared to the Swedbank school relay race, which will take place on the 26.th of August in the frameworks of the Nike Riga Run 2012 event. The guidance will be received free of charge by all the Latvian sports teachers.
Open training sessions "Nike Riga Run" are going to take place
Like the previous two years, in this season the organizers of "Nike Riga Run" are providing an opportunity for everyone to prepare for the biggest charity sport event in Latvia. Strarting from spring everyone is invited to take part in open training sessions in Mežaparks, led by professionals.
The same way as previous year, "Nike Riga Run 2012" will be held in four disciplines - running, roller skating, roller skiing and Nordic walking, but for the first time there will be a separate start in roller skating for children in different age groups.
The funds of 14 383 LVL, raised during the biggest charity sport event in Latvia "Nike Riga Run 2011," were passed on to organization "Ziedot.lv" which in her turn devided them to 14 children – 1 027.36 LVL for each to cover the costs of treatment.
