Roller-skating is a serious sport, not only a hobby, riding along the paths of some park – was is a conclusion made by many people, who prepared for the Nike Riga Run 2011 distance coached by the participant of the Olympic Games in short track Evita Krievāne. This season the roller skating is one of the sports where the best ones will be clarified in Nike Riga Run 2012, but children till the age of 12 this time will have a separate start.
Roller-skating allows working the biggest part of the muscles, give the aerobe load to one’s heart, circulation of blood and breathing system, therefore, it is to be considered a serious physical work in each serious training. By regulating its intensity, it is possible to set a load individually to each roller skater, however, Evita Krievāne emphasizes – that everything is solved by the technique. With a correct gliding step and standing, it is possible to balance a load for the body, to be beneficiaries, but not increasing a possible risk of traumas.
In roller-skating, the best will be clarified in 10 km distance. This sport is quite fast and the best ride with tens kilometres an hour, therefore the organizers decided that the children till the age of 12, the same as in running, will have a separate start. They will be divided in age groups, adjusting the length of the distance to each group separately.
